Hello! I am a Honduran interdisciplinary environmental scientist and currently a postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen University’s Forest and Nature Conservation Policy group.
Previously, I was part of the CLEVER project at the University of Bonn and served as a fellow for the IPBES Nexus Assessment from 2022–2024.
My research focuses on understanding human impacts on biodiversity, particularly in tropical regions of the Global South. I work within the framework of land-system science, with interests in land governance, land tenure, and environmental policy. Methodologically, I focus on applying causal inference and impact evaluation approaches to better identify the biodiversity impacts of human activities. I often use spatially-explicit analyses and synthesis approaches.
